A pair of French Air Force Mirage F1 fighters landed at Malta International Airport after running short of fuel.
They are the fourth pair of French fighters to declare an emergency and land in Malta after operations over Libya.
The first two fighters arrived on April 20 after their mid-air refuelling aircraft suffered a technical hitch, while the second pair landed here after one of them had a hydraulic problem. The third pair were here on May 2, after running short of fuel.
